Ok, well the street teams outing this past Sunday, was not a complete failure. We talked to a few people who were interested. Dispite the rain we went out and did the best that we could. Thank you to Patrick, Alex, and Hillman for conquering the nasty rain. We were able to go to I believe four streets and it was a challenge, because not many people were home. I remember this one rude lady slamming the door in our face. It was to be expected, but that was the first time that has happen on the street where I have witnessed it. At the beginning Hilman and I were partners and Alex and Patrick were partners. Hilman was reall aggressive when it came to our event. I kept telling him to make sure that they know that the proceeds fo back into Brooklyn. He was so hyped up and excited I guess, lol. Anyhow, I was proud of him for stepping up and not being scared. In addition, there was a lady that was interested, but she wasnted to make sure that the club was going to be back to the way things used to be. I think she meant having the old owners. People are funny and so set on their old ways and are so guarded these days about new people. I remember Himan and I asking later, "did she mean wanting the old owners, or haivng the club go back to its glory days?" Deep down we new what it meant.
Later, we switiched partners, I went with Patrick and we didn't have much luck. I recall Alex and Hilman saying that there was someone that was definately interested in going , but was afraid toe buy a ticket, which is understandable. Hence, we all kept on going and ran into people that were either too old to go to events outside or didn't have the funds period. I felt a sense of sympathy for them , but it comes with the territory of asking for money for anything regardless of the intent behind it. It was an ok time, I just wish it was more profitable. I hope that this week during the Club4100 table selling week will be a great success! I will be there Wednesday at 11am!
