April and Loving it

This past week was a very busy, but interesting one. I was able to post flyers around campus such as, The Commons near the snack shop, and cafeteria area, the Library and a couple other class buildings. I hoped that advertising this way will help people to want to stop and look especially becaue the flyers were in color. I also went out with a small group of the street team and we passed a few flyers out to the neighborhood people. We went on Monday, however, we realized that we needed a larger group as well as have our t-shirts in order to make a statement. I talked with one elderly man about coming to the event and he said that he would see. He didn't know the owners and didn't feel too excited about the invite, until we told him how they were and about the cause. I really wish that the community would come out of their small box and give the new owners a fair try. Hopefully next time when we go out which I hope will be the weekend of the 18th of April. By then our shirts should be in and it will be closer to May and so the people in the community will not say that the event is to early to be informed about. I really have a good feeling about this. The advertising group is waiting for more details, meanwhile, I will try to figure out how to post our event on "Common Vision" for this up coming week. I also will post flyers with in the dorms and more class buildings as well.
